This new feature jointly developed by Meta and Amazon will be applied to selected products in Facebook or Instagram advertisements, which may be sold by Amazon itself or by independent sellers on Amazon. Users will be able to purchase these products directly from two social networks without exiting the two social network pages. When users click on Amazon advertisements on Facebook or Instagram, they will see a simplified version of Amazon product pages and a prominent “Buy through Amazon” button.
To use this feature, users must link their Facebook or Instagram profile to their Amazon account. In this way, the payment data and mailing address registered by users in Amazon will be directly applied to two social networks, thus enabling users to complete the purchase from product advertisements.
